Knowing what we believe

In the tease offerings of Dallas Williard’s latest book,Knowing Christ, there appears much to interest the parent who is doubly concerned; first about his child’s education; its apparent lack of an objective knowledge base and a rationale for thinking in general; and secondly, if by some providence of God, a classical education holds out the only real hope for success and a sound mind in a world that’s lost its way.

What C.S. Lewis prophesied in the 40’s from the mouth of “Screwtape” and Willard identified as current dogma has transformed the modern educational world and lessened the chances for your child’s success. Have we witnessed the end of thinking as we know it? Willard thinks maybe we have.
I long to offer some quotes but must ask you to take up this book and read for yourself, if only the prologue.
