Is anything secret?

Why should we concern ourselves with what the world thinks of us publicly if we are indifferent to what God thinks of us privately? Where does our greater danger lie? Centuries ago, John Calvin wrote, “we need not wonder if God, who formed man so perfectly in the womb, should have an exact knowledge of him after he is ushered into the world.” Heart Aflame, pg. 354
